Christmas & Paddy's predicitions

Christmas & Paddy's predicitions by Adam Walker

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Well here in Manchester its been quiet on the hockey front as the team has not played since the 20th. We lost 7-1 to slough then and it wasnt the way we wanted to end the year at all. We were short benched with the guys away with GB and Foney being injured and Adam having to step in was always going to be tough against a quality side like slough. However we have beaten Guildford comfortably with the same team so to go down like that was no excuse. The good news is that we should have everyone back in time for the games over new year so that will boost the other guys.

I myself managed to get home for a few days at Christmas which was really nice. I spent last year i spent it with my girlfriend, Rhea, and her family which was equally as good but i managed to see a few friends from home too this year so i enjoyed that. I also bumped in to Paddy Ward who told me that when Slough come up to Manchester on the 3rd they will have no problems leaving with another win....we'll see about that!!!

So this weekend we head to Basingstoke for the last league meeting there and then back to face slough the next night. Right now Basingstoke are mid table but that doesnt reflect how good there team is. They have a great mix of brits and imports so getting a win wont be easy. The same goes for Slough. They are the only team we havnt beaten so i think its time to change that!

Have a great New Year!
