Great start in Glasgow
Hi Everyone!
Well the season is firmly underway now and things are starting to take shape here in Glasgow. Last night was the first time for us that we had a full strength team and what a difference it made! I thought we put in a solid 60mins against a good Coventry team who are always dangerous no matter what day you play them on. Was great to see Jade get his first of the season too, I’m sure there are many more to come. So the first six games for the Clan have been pretty decent. Dundee and Edinburgh wins were a good way to start and a 50/50 Cardiff weekend wasn’t bad either as it is always tough to go down there and win. I thought we were in the game however as we were in Nottingham but that’s hockey sometimes. I think we are in good position right now. Wednesday is another big game for the club as we want to avenge the loss in Nottingham last weekend. It will take a big team effort but the boys know we can do it.
Away from the rink it’s been a lot of fun hanging out with the guys and finding out about the new guys to the team. We had a team bowling event last week which I happened to win with a 210. Now I have no idea where that came from but Jade didn’t look to happy as he is our franchise bowler and couldn’t match it. Sorry Jade! It was a good day though and it was nice to have everyone in a relaxed environment away from the rink. There hasn’t been much time for golf right now as its early in the season and there is a lot of work to do so that has been put on hold for now but hopefully I can squeeze a game or 2 in soon.....feed the habit!
This weekend is a big one on a personal note as it’s the first game against my home town Fife. As soon as the fixtures came out i looked for the Fife games. They have been struggling a bit but the signs are there that they are improving quickly so it will be no easy game. The Clan don’t head to Fife until early December so im really excited about that but come Saturday I’m sure the Clan fans will give Fife and the fans a warm welcome to Braehead.
