I have got my kilt ready

Hi everyone!

Wow the summer has gone so fast! I have been living in Manchester this summer with my girlfriend Rhea and it has just flown by. I have had some time off, completed my annual charity bike ride from London to Paris which was a lot of hard work as well as a lot of fun. I’m still trying to complete my target of raising £1400 so if you would like to donate I’ll give you the details later on in the blog.

As far as the new season goes it will be quite a strange one for me not to be going back to Manchester. I’ve been there for 4 years now and have enjoyed myself and enjoyed playing there. There have been plenty ups and downs but I have a lot of fond memories of Manchester and its a great place to live. Now though I’ve got a new challenge ahead in Braahead and I can’t wait to get started. I moved across to Glasgow on Saturday and met up with the boys on Sunday. The team Bruce has assembled looks pretty good so I can’t wait to get started. We have a pre season friendly against Blackburn on the 14th so we can get a chance to gel before the first big game in Dundee on the 18th. I’m hoping the support we have in Braehead will really take off. Since the Scottish Eagles went under fans have been craving a team from those parts and Neil Black is doing everything he can to bring back a quality product for those and new fans to highlight their weekends. It’s exciting to be part of a new product and hopefully I can be a part of turning the franchise in to a successful one.
