Phoenix are low on confidence

Hi everyone.

Things are still proving to be quite difficult here in Manchester. The guys are a bit low on confidence but we are working on that every day in practise to lift the team and get some momentum going into the final month and hopefully carry that into the playoffs. We have a good team here in Manchester and we don’t just turn into a bad team overnight. We were leading the league up until Christmas so its not like we dont have the talent and desire to win. We need to keep things simple and come together as a team if we want to achieve success. I believe we can finish the season on a high and I will be trying to help the team in anyway i can to do this.

We travel to Romford this Saturday for our last visit there. They have played really well against us the last twice we have been there so we know they will be no pushover. They had a great weekend of last picking up 3 points including an OT loss at Basingstoke. Our guys will be ready though and we know what to expect so hopefully we can end our losing streak there. On Sunday we play at home to Peterborough. We've had some close games with them this year and i expect this Sunday to be no different.

Away from the rink I lost again to Gino at tennis. I’ve heard his dad reads this for the tennis results so hello Gino sir!!! To be fair he rode his luck and played some good shots to beat me by the one point. Next week he's gonna get it though! I had to give up some money to Ed this week as Canada won the men’s curling. I’ve never seen someone so happy about getting a fiver!!! I think he also took £10 from Matty or the hockey too so no doubt he'll be living it up this week. This Friday there is 5 of us going to see Dizzee Rascal and Lily Allen so we're looking forward to that, it should be great fun. Laco is a big Dizzee fan I’ve so I’m looking forward to seeing him and his antics.
