The summer has gone quick
Hey everybody!
Wow summer has gone quick hasn't it! I can’t wait to get back in to the swing of things. I have split my summer between Manchester and now I'm back in Scotland for the most part until the season begins in Glasgow.
I have been working really hard in the gym this summer and have been lucky enough to spend time with a personal trainer who has been really pushing me. My brother has also been preparing for the start of his season so we've been able to work out together and learn some good methods. On the golf front I’m playing reasonably well this summer. Had the fortune of playing both St Andrews and Turnberry which was an amazing experience. Hopefully i can get good enough for life after hockey. Watch out Rory!!!
Just recently I have spent the last week helping run the Best of British Hockey Camp in Auchenharvie. It was a lot of fun and everyone had a great time. Coaching kids and interacting with them is something I love doing. It’s important to visit schools and have these camps for the kids as they are the future of British Ice Hockey. Paul Heavy, Jamie Longmuir and everyone else involved do a fantastic job making it the best it can be and it has been an honour to have been asked to get involved. I’m doing both camps in Sheffield starting on the 7th August so make sure you say hi if you are along.
