A season is a season
The new SKY Sports highlight show is on tonight at midnight and then 8am on Saturday, it moves to a regular 8pm slot in a week or so which will be better.
It's the first time I have hosted a studio show, it's a very different show to the ones we have done from the rinks for the last few years. Hope you like, it will develop and get a lot better I'm sure.
I'm off to Sheffield on Saturday, my first trip back to the Steelers since I left in the summer, it will be a strange experience I'm sure.
I take the Steelers to continue their good early season run of form and beat the Stars well. Also I take the other two home teams to win. Belfast to beat Coventry on Saturday and the Panthers to give the Devils their 3rd defeat of the year.
Sunday will see some road wins, Nottingham will make it 4 from 4 by beating Dundee and I also think Sheffield have a great chance in Cardiff. Coventry can't start the season 0 and 3 so they will reverse the Saturday night game and beat the Giants at the SKY Dome
Well there is nothing like putting your head on the block but thats what I think anyway.
Cardiff have a tough start and Gerard Adams must be scratching his head that it hasn't gone better for him early days. The Devils have to get something out of this weekend as next weekend is no easier.
The Devils D, their back end just doesn't look good enough to me. In fact the Big G looks to be their best man at the back and at his age and job combination that isn't a good thing.
With Brahead, Hull, Newcastle and Edinburgh all starting late the Dundee Stars have it tough, playing all the big teams early. That's not good for their franchise. It may be week 4 before they get their first win and the massive boost that will give.
Newcastle and Edinburgh play exhibition games this weekend, I think they should be playing league games. A season is a season, a season for all.
