Was the Lepine hit that bad?

Was the Lepine hit that bad?

Well it’s time for my second blog sorry it’s taken some time to write but I have been a busy person apart from working and watch some good sometimes poor hockey. I had my dog Sashka the Dalmatian put to sleep a month ago which hit us hard but one door closes another one opens I would like to welcome Harry the Labrador to the family in other news Harry has learnt the offside rule the too many men rule and knows how to call penalties against the panthers so he is one step away from becoming an Elite League official but I digress.

So Saturday has been and gone and there are a lot of talking points for that farce of a hockey game. The first one is Lepine’s hit on Globke, the hit looked clean to me sat in the front row of block 4 and the game DVD results proved inconclusive but the big wigs at the Elite League have special computer that slows the game down and makes it more clear I think we all have technology its called a DVD pause button. So will we ever see this video that the Elite League saw I doubt it but why not let the god of mouth Dave Simms show it on his Sky Sports show? And really do we think if a Hull player did the same hit on an Edinburgh player they would look at in as much as they have with this game? My answer is no.

My second point is how many Panthers Steelers have been ruined my poor refs wanting to take the spotlight away from the biggest rivalry in Europe and put it on themselves. Mr Andy Carson did just that with his poor calls and cost the panthers the game and both sets of fans there hard earned money. Andy Carson makes calls against players and then instead of skating off to the timekeepers area he waits for the players to skate towards him to complain I feel he enjoys rubbing it in. take Jade Galbraith he is one of the if not the best player in the panthers team with Galbraith kicked out the game for waving a towel on a stick we missed him the fact of the matter is that any player will get angry with the poor calls being made Andy Carson and although Galbraith should of known better it just got to him. As for Penner I really don’t know what to say about that so ill leave that there.

As for Corey Neilson he needs to look at his best lines and keep them we haven’t won a game now since Corey had the great idea of changing his lines. He does this every season he’s in his 3rd season now has he not learnt anything?

I’ll end on a positive note the Steelers lost on Sunday J and I would like to welcome Angel Nikolov to the Nottingham Panthers a 1994 draft pick of the San Jose Sharks let’s just hope this angel is the answer to our prayers.

Keep your eye on the puck at all times
