A real game of hockey in Sheffield

A real game of hockey in Sheffield by James Broughton

Hi again everyone. So the Steelers slipped out of the Challenge Cup without much of a whimper. Well a part of me is not surprised. They have lacked a lot most of the season. Anyway today i am not here to talk about the Steelers. Even though they will meet the Panthers Saturday night at the house of Steel.

Today I am here to talk about a real Sheffield vs. Nottingham game. For those of you who may know me, you will know I play Rec Hockey. Well tomorrow is a real big day for me. It will be my first Sheffield v Nottingham game. The Sheffield Squeelers will be taking on the Nottingham Knights at ice Sheffield. Face off is 12pm and viewers will be in for a treat.

I don't know much about the Knights but from a Squeelers point of view you can look out for the following players.
#9  James (Vinny) Vincent
#39 (Raging) Ruri Ledger
#10 Simon (Slick) Law
#7 Paul (Killer) Kilby
# 67 Adam (The Beast) West
# 85 (Angry) Phil Sanderson
# 87 Dan (The Man) Rhodes.
Oh and me Jim Broughton #27.

Well we may not have the stick handling of Jade Galbraith or the Size of Mike Sgroi but your sure to see just as much passion as the elite league game later that day and probably more beer drunk afterwards.

Hope to see you there.
