The Elite League has confirmed a new television deal with sports broadcaster Sky Sports for eight live games across the new season.
Having recently graduated from the University of Alberta, Dale Mahovsky is now looking to make an impact in his first season as a professional.
In the last pre-season game before the league starts, Blaze were beaten at home against the Cardiff Devils.
The high-octane drama and physicality of ice hockey returns to Britain competitively on Saturday as the Nottingham Panthers host the Belfast Giants at the National Ice Centre.
With less than two weeks to the Winn Solicitors Newcastle Vipers first game against the Edinburgh Capitals, former Lakehead University centreman Dan Speer confirmed he can’t wait to arrive in the UK.
