If there's one guy who has made a big impact on the Giants and the Elite league this season its Brandon Benedict. The larger than life character and not to mention a very impressive Movember moustache. He is a skilled utility player, hitting hard and playing harder with 32 games played, 14 goals and 31 assists he is making a big impact on the league as well.

SM: Describe the real Brandon Benedict; your likes/dislikes/hobbies.

I like to play some golf when I get a chance to, I like to relax, and watch movies.

SM: How different are the Belfast fans from the crowds you're used to?

Fans are really good here, very welcoming, It makes the whole experience here better.

SM: What has been your favourite experience of Belfast so far?

Belfast as a city is great, the people are lovely and create a great atmosphere at games as well.

SM: If you could play with any current NHL team which would you choose?

Rangers, they're great.

SM: Which player past or present would you like to play with?

Fleury, the man is a legend!

SM: What has been your proudest moment?

Playing in the memorial cup.

SM: Who has been the biggest influence in your life?

My dad is the biggest influence in my life, couldn't have asked for a more supportive dad.

SM: Which team has impressed you most in the Elite League this year?

Our biggest rivals this year are Coventry, they're the team to beat.

SM: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

I see myself working something in business, if not still playing hockey!

SM: Do you have any superstitious rituals you do before a match?

I'm not very superstitious but I always put right things on before left.

SM: What would you like Santa to bring you in your stocking?

Um...chocolate

SM: What is your new years resolution?

I want to get into healthier eating.
