The hockey season is back, and you can follow it all with us right here on BIH.
We are working on an archive of matches, stats and players from BIH in the past few years.

Mobilx Newcastle Vipers forward Mike Berry is looking forward to the visit of the Belfast Giants to Whitley Bay on Saturday (6.30pm face-off) and the chance of putting the record straight. The Giants return to Tyneside for the first time since their 8-0 thrashing of the Vipers back in November and Berry feels this is an ideal opportunity for the team to show what they’re made of.
“Obviously the last home game against Belfast was just a bad day at the office for us” said Berry. “We just couldn’t get going, nothing was falling for us and we just hit a dead end, our heads dropped and they done as much damage as possible. After the game we were all in shock and knew we hadn’t turned up, but we also knew that we were also a much better team than that score line suggested. Right now Belfast are one of the inform teams in the league and we’ve got to be aware of that. All the guys are motivated to put the record straight and come away on Saturday with our first win at Whitley Bay”.
Despite the Vipers now being six points behind current leaders the Coventry Blaze, Berry still believes with that with two wins this weekend they can be back in with a shout.
“As Rob [Wilson] has been saying all year, we’re taking it game by game” confirmed Berry. “Firstly Belfast is our priority and then we’ll move onto the game down in Sheffield. We have nothing to be concerned about as we’ve shown already this season that we can beat Belfast on home ice and the Steelers at Ice Sheffield. If we come away with two wins and four points this weekend it will really put us back in the hunt and that’s something collectively we’re very focused on doing”.
The Vipers and the Belfast Giants go head to head at Whitley Bay Ice Rink on Saturday (6.30pm face-off). Advance sale tickets are available now by calling the Vipers office on 0191 261 0909 or via www.vipershockey.co.uk. There is a free child ticket with every full paying adult.
