The hockey season is back, and you can follow it all with us right here on BIH.
We are working on an archive of matches, stats and players from BIH in the past few years.

The Swindon Wildcats suffered their first loss in four games, at the hands of a physical Basingstoke Bison side. In a game that saw very little luck go in the way of the home side, saw the Bison open the scoring of the game with a superb wrist shot off the crossbar from forward Ollie Bronnimann. Moments before the end of the period and Bronnimann then made it two, after chasing a rebound from fellow forward Nicky Chinn's shot.
The second period saw the physicality rise but with both sets of defenseman standing tall, the score stood at 2-0 to the travelling side with the game still very much open to both teams.
The final period would be a very different story to the last and within a minute of play, the Wildcats had found their first of the night to slash the deficit in half. Good work around the net by forward James Knight led the team getting on top and after various shots on net, Lee Richardson was able to tap home a goal for his side's first. However two minutes on and the Bison then regained their two goal lead thanks to import Mindaugas Kieras, who's touch on the puck meant a diverting bounce would beat Swindon's James Hadfield to leave the scores at 3-1 with just 15 minutes of play.
Going back and forth, the Wildcats were then able once again to cancel out Basingstoke's goal, this time through import Josef Liska. Grinding play around the net meant the Bison's Dean Skinns was bombarded with shots and with a tap in from close range, Liska then bought the scores to 3-2 with a goal that clearly meant alot.
However with just 23 seconds played, the game would then see the momentum swing yet again after the Bison were able to score on a counter attack play. Callum Best's effort in front of net saw a fourth for his team, after receiving a pass to tap in the important goal.
Its impact seemed to slow up both sides from here and although Swindon had a few closes chances to the end of the period, it seemed that next goal just would not be netted for the home side. Come the end of the game it would be the Basingstoke Bison who would take the points and consequently end Swindon's run of point from their last five games. The 'Cats now travel to Peterborough tomorrow in the hope that a win against the Phantoms may well see them pick their run back up and take them that much closer to the Playoff Finals.
