Bison overcome Jets in penalty shots
Slough Jets journeyed to Hampshire to face the Basingstoke Bison at the Basingstoke Arena with both teams aiming for 4 point weekends.

Darius Pliskauskas scored the opening goal of the game beating Stephen Wall at 7.11 for a powerplay goal but 10.19 later Joe Miller converted a Basingstoke powerplay into the opening goal for the home team and the teams headed to the interval tied.
65 seconds into the second period and Ryan Watt scored the go ahead goal giving the visitors the lead again but at 24.33 Daniel Volrab equalised with another powerplay goal. Pliskauskas scored his second of the night at 27.44 to put Slough back ahead but Tony Redmond levelled the game at 34.03 with the home teams’ first even strength goal and the second interval was taken at 40.00 with the score 3-3.
The third period failed to separate the teams again with Ryan Watt scoring the Slough fourth goal at 45.32 but Marcel Petran equalising with the home team’s fourth goal at 53.57. With the clock ticking down
Dan Davies picked up a penalty and when the hooter sounded the teams headed to overtime with Basingstoke still having 1.54 of powerplay left.
The sudden death overtime failed to decide the result so the game went to penalties. Broninman, Davies and Moria scored the first three shots of the game before Pliskauskas shot was saved. Miller’s miss kept the game alive but Wall saved the shot from Watt and the home team added the second point to their tally.
