Can the Cats halt the stampede?
This Saturday the Swindon Wildcats take to the ice against their local rivals, and fifth in the league the Basingstoke Bison.
In what is looking to be one of the biggest home games of the season, Swindon will be looking to change their run of late when they face off in their fourth game in eight days. Although only losing once from the last three home games, the inability to pick up points in recent away matches is now making the home games critical to win.
Basingstoke themselves had their winning streak ended at Guildford last weekend, so will also be looking to ferment their playoff place, and get their winning run back on track. The last time these two teams met back in November at the Link Centre it was the Wildcats who gained the spoils in a nail biting 3-2 overtime victory
'Cats forward Sam Bullas is also coming off a 2 point weekend which will no doubt benefit both his and his, and his teams confidence leading up to Saturday's big game. Ryan Aldridge's men will be looking for some good performances and solid scoring this weekend keep the team's confidence high going into their away game at Slough on Sunday night and it may be the factor they need to get them back in a play off position come the end of the season.
