Caps run Devils close in Cardiff
All the action in this one came late in the day, having falling behind to an Edinburgh strike the Devils pulled back to finally win by the odd goal in five.
The first period ended goalless and it took until over midway for the first goal to come. Edinburgh player/coach Richard Hartmann was on hand at 34.48 to put his side in front and this turned out to be the only goal of the period.
The Devils turned the game around with two powerplay goals early in the third period, as Stuart MacRae found the net at 43.49 and then Mark Richardson at 44.34 to give them a 2-1 lead.
Cardiff added a third goal from Jeff Pierce at 47.41, despite the Capitals getting another back on the powerplay from Rene Jarolin at 50.04 there was no further scoring and the home side took the points.
