Captain Chinn back with Bison
The Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the re-signing of club captain Nicky Chinn for the 2011/12 English Premier League season.
The influential forward makes it three years on the bounce in Basingstoke, and will once again lead the Stampede charge.
Chinn, once again, led the side in British point scoring - recording 61 points for the Herd including 12 goals.
Very few British players match Nicky for his achievements in the British game. The 38-year old began his career with the Cardiff Devils back in 1988, and includes spells in the Superleague with the Sheffield Steelers and London Knights, as well as his home town Devils.
The Cardiff born center has also iced for the Guildford Flames, Nottingham Panthers, Slough Jets and Bracknell Bees throughout a long standing career.
Director of Ice Hockey Steve Moria, who played for Cardiff in Nicky's first appearance for the Devils, is delighted to welcome his captain back.
"I have been a teammate of Chinny's for many years now. We both have had success in Cardiff and we both would love to have success in Basingstoke. His experience alone will benefit the Bison"
After re-signing for the Herd, Nicky said.
"I am pleased to be back in a Bison shirt and I look forward to leading them to silverware which we so narrowly missed out on last season."
The signings are coming thick-and-fast in Basingstoke so keep your eyes peeled to the Bison website in the coming weeks to see who's the next player to be joining the Stampede.
