The Dundee Stars look to be closing in on the signing of Canadian centre Jereme Tendler who spent last season with the Corpus Christi IceRayz of the Central Hockey League.

The American International College graduate, 26, is believed to have been close to joining the Hull Stingrays earlier this summer having played for Sylvain Cloutier during 2008/09.

The Stingrays were believed to be keen on Tendler, but opted to go with Chris Korchinski and Jason Silverthorn as their centers.

But Ceman looks to have made a move for Tendler as they prepare for their first season in the Elite League.

Tendler could become Dundee’s sixth import summer signing following the arrivals of Ceman, Brent Hughes, Peter Cartwright, Sean McMorrow and Jason Tessier.

The Saskatchewan native posted 30 points (20 goals and 10 assists) in 60 games for the now defunct Corpus Christi last season.
