Ceman signs quality defenseman Jason Tessier
Dundee CCS Stars coach, Dan Ceman, continues his roster building for next season with the addition of quality defenseman Jason Tessier, Ceman is clearly using his vast network of hockey contacts as he has managed to sign up Tessier from under the noses of clubs in Europe and Canada.
Tessier is a vastly experienced solid defenseman, whose career up to date has been in the CHL with a 2 year stint in the Italian Elite League 5 years ago, last year he iced at Corpus Christi IceRays in the Central Hockey League so he brings a lot to the club for next year.
Dan said, "Jason is a great signing for us, he had a lot of interest from teams in Europe as well as North America, Jason is a true all round threat in that he is a dangerous offensive weapon as well as a player who takes pride in playing a sold physical brand of defensive hockey, Jason will be a key player for us in the Elite League".
Jason speaking for his home town of St Jerome, Quebec said, "I've played pretty much all my hockey in Canada, part from 2 seasons in Italy which I enjoyed, this will be my first time in the UK, so I'm looking forward to it, I know a couple of guys who have played in the Elite League and they have spoken highly of the set-up, it's always exciting to be involved in a new franchise so all in all I'm pretty happy to be heading to Scotland in September".
Mike Ward, Stars Director, said, "This is a big coup for Dan, he's worked hard putting this deal together, especially with the interest of other clubs, this just underlines to me that Dan is going to be huge for our club going forward".
