Christiansen delighted with the weekend
Following two back to back victories against the Newcastle Vipers the Capitals are now setting their sights on 4th place Cardiff Devils.
Doug Christiansen, Capitals coach, commented, "It was a great weekend for us. To get four points against a rival like Newcastle is a big accomplishment. Both nights we came from behind and showed a lot of character.
"We still have a lot to work on. Our team is far from being where we need to be. Our power play must improve as well as our second periods. In order for our team to accomplish the goals we have, we need to be better overall.
"Wednesday night is the biggest game of the season so far. A win will set the franchise record for points and will push us closer to Cardiff. Sheffield is playing very well right now and we will have to play our absolute best to win.
"I am pleased to say that we came out of the weekend healthy and we will only be without Mark Paterson Wednesday."
