Compton back at Swindon
Ryan Aldridge, the Head Coach of the Swindon Wildcats ice hockey team is delighted to announce the addition of Nick Compton to his roster for the forthcoming English Premier Ice Hockey League campaign.
Compton, 22 returns to the town where he spent time as part of Swindon's Junior programme before heading overseas to continue his development playing Junior-A hockey in North America with Nashville, Omaha, San Antonio and college side Johnson and Wales University.
The 5' 10" 180lbs defenceman returned to the UK in 2006 and again in 2009 to join the Premier League's Peterborough Phantoms. In 2006, Compton received international honours and was a Gold Medalist with the GB Under 18s team at the World Championships.
“Nick is a great addition to our d core. He is solid in his own end and can make the first pass. He is just what we needed to add depth to the D. He is a great guy and will fit in great with the team and I welcome him back to Swindon”, said Aldridge of Compton's signature.
