Dean Holland back with Newcastle
The Winn's Vipers have confirmed the signing of Dean Holland today, with the 22-year-old returning to the club he left in the summer.
Holland had begun the season in Manchester with the Phoenix, but the EPL club agreed to his release on Monday.
Coach Danny Stewart was pleased to add another forward to his depth chart.
"Dean will give us a little more depth up front but more importantly will give us more grit up front," said the Vipers player coach.
"I don't feel we were physical enough over the weekend and I have demanded that the players be more physical, as we were in preseason and against Sheffield.
"Dean can ice a regular shift at this level and add competiton for the other players, and maybe bring a little more out of them."
Holland will make his second Vipers debut on Friday in Braehead before Sunday's home return with the Clan (5.30pm at Whitley Bay Ice Rink).
