Dogs maul Jets on the road
With a day off the next day Slough Jets, minus Darius Pliskauskas, welcomed Sheffield Steeldogs to the Hangar for their only game of the weekend.

Matt Thompson took charge of the game and Sheffield soon stamped their authority with a goal just 26 seconds into the game from Greg Wood. Ashley Calvert made it 0-2 at 10.07 and Janis Ozolins had the board showing 0-3 just 6 seconds later prompting Doug Sheppard to call the Jets time-out. Slough bounced back from their 30 second break with a goal from Aaron Connolly at 10.48 but the first period still ended in favour of the visitors at 1-3.
The second period saw Sheffield skate away with the game with 5 unanswered goals. 4.33 in and Ozolins bagged his second and 70 seconds later Pavel Bebris made it 1-5. When Ozolins netted his hat-trick goal at 26.46 the visitors had scored 3 goals in 2.13. The scoring returned at 36.16 when Bebris netted his second and Ozolins made his personal tally 4 when he beat Gregg Rockman at 37.14
Slough came out knowing they needed a massive effort in the third period and Ryan Watt got them off to the start they needed with a goal at 41.05 but with time ticking the away the comeback became tougher and tougher. Bebris’ hat-trick goal at 56.24 made it 9 for the visitors and ended the scoring for the night.
