Domish calls on fans to support Vipers
Former Newcastle Vipers’ fans favourite Jerramie Domish is calling on Sheffield Steelers’ fans to travel to Whitley Bay this Saturday for their only game of the weekend.
While the Vipers continue with their search for new investment, Newcastle General Manager Jaimie Longmuir this week urged fans to attend Saturday’s game (7.00pm face-off) to buy the club time, with possible light at the end of the tunnel.
Former AHL defenceman Jerramie Domish who spent last season on Tyneside is disappointed to see his former employers struggling at the present time.
“Having played in Newcastle last season I understand the difficulties the club, staff, players and supporters have been facing” said the American. “The Vipers does not have the backing financially that some of the other clubs have in this league and it makes life difficult for everyone connected to the club.
“Credit to the management, staff, players and supporters in Newcastle, that they continue to work hard to make it work in a difficult situation. With the Steelers not having a home game this weekend it would be great to see as many Sheffield supporters make the journey to Whitley Bay and support the Vipers during this difficult period.”
