The hockey season is back, and you can follow it all with us right here on BIH.
We are working on an archive of matches, stats and players from BIH in the past few years.

It was a comfortable win in Berkshire for the Chieftains as they beat a lacklustre Bracknell Hornets side 12-0. After a quiet first period where the Hornets were trying to make a game of it and at the end of the first period it was 1-0 with former Hornet Tom Avery netting. Alan Green took a match penalty for spearing during the period and would sit out Sunday's match. Once the second period got underway, it was all one way traffic and a procession of goals from player coach Gary Clarke, returning to the side Jakub Klima netting twice, Danny Hammond, James Ayling, Ross Brears and youngster Cameron Bartlett all scoring, while Avery scored his second of the night. As the period came to an end the scoreboard made unhappy reading for the home side - Hornets 0-9 Chieftains. Into the third and the Chieftains ran riot with Clarke and Hammond all getting their second goals of the night and Klima rounding out his hat-trick. With the Hornets struggling to get into the game, Ben Clements in the Chelmsford night had little to do and was able to get a relatively easy shut-out. Star performer of the night though was young Rory Garrett who was recognised for his efforts throughout and took home the man of the match award.
The third clash in as many weeks between two of the 'top 4' on Sunday night saw the Chieftains ran out 6-3 winners over defending league champions Wightlink Raiders. The Chieftains got into gear early on and were 2-1 ahead at the midway point in the first period with the goals coming from Klima and Clarke who are forming a very dynamic partnership. A mistake at the other end allowed Raiders man of the match Richard Facey a chance to score past David Wride. Another mistake cost the Chieftains a second goal when Joe Rand netted straight through Wride, however the Chieftains hit back just over 5 minutes into the second period with 2 goals in 2 minutes coming from Klima and a blast from man of the match Tom Long. Dominic Hopkins made it 4-3 but then the Chieftains took control again and Long and Clarke both scored again to leave the Essex side ahead and that's how it stayed until the final buzzer.
Next week the Chieftains are on the road with trips to Slough and Oxford over the weekend, while the Warriors clash with Slough's second team at the Riverside Sunday night.
