Robert Dowd hit a brace against the Coventry Blaze and Doug Sheppard says he thinks that the Boy from Billingham is getting back to his best.
"I know Jeff Legue will get the headlines and rightly so" says Sheppard "but I thought Robert Dowd was brilliant tonight.
"Yes he scored two goals and thats important for us as a team and for him and his confidence, but he put great back pressure on Coventry, he finished his hits and he looked dangerous every time he got on the puck.
"He demanded the puck tonight and when he does that you know he is on his game. Its been a tough year for him along with the rest of us but I get the feeling he is getting back to his best again, and when that happens we all know we have a superstar on our hands".
