Early start for the Steelers
Thursday 14th January 2010
It’s an early start for the Steelers as they leave the Sheffield Arena at 5.15am on Thursday morning and drive to Stansted Airport before flying to Grenoble for the finals of the Continental Cup.
Head coach David Matsos said "Its a huge adventure and we are all up for the challenge. We know we go into the finals as the 4th ranked team but we will use that to our advantage.
"I don't think too many people gave us much of a chance last time out in Italy and we came through. Some of those clubs don’t like back to back games. They are not used to playing them in Europe where we play back to back all of the time - maybe that’s an edge in our favour.
"We go aiming to do our best for the club, the City of Sheffield and for our league".
