Edinburgh Capitals 7 - 4 Newcastle Vipers
Edinburgh Capitals got their home Elite League season off to a winning start against the Newcastle Vipers with a 7 - 4 win.
Coach Brad Gratton said "I am delighted to get two league points on the board and thought the guys came back well after a tough road trip to Sheffield. Hopefully, we can get more balance to the team with the addition of 1 or 2 defenceman as the top teams will expose this area as we experienced on Saturday. It was good to score a number of goals tonight and thank the fans again for giving us a lot of vocal support.
Two home wins in a row is great but we need to focus on a tough week ahead and try to make Murrayfield a tough place to take points.
