Mobilx Vipers forward Jason Tejchma praised the whole squad for their resolve after a thrilling 5-4 win in Nottingham on Wednesday night.
Newcastle were 2-0 up before conceding four straight goals to Nottingham - including three in 64 seconds - to trail 4-2 eleven minutes from time.
Matic Kralj's goal cut the deficit to one, but the Panthers still held the lead in the final two minutes.
A penalty on Panthers' Steve Lee with 83 seconds left gave the Vipers a last shot, and after a timeout from coach Rob Wilson, Jason Tejchma fired past StPierre to tie the scores at 58.32.
There was still time for a dramatic winner from Mike Berry, giving the Vipers a stunning win and ending Nottingham's thirteen game winning streak at the National Ice Centre.
Tejchma told VipersHockey: "It was a back and forward game, with both teams taking and losing a lead.
"It was tough in the third when they got the three quick goals, but we kept our heads, stuck to the game plan and that's how we came back.
"Every single player contributed and played extremely hard, it was a great team win.
"It's a great lift going into the Hull game on Saturday, and the guys are desperate to build on tonight's win in front of our own fans."
