Fife Flyers' head coach, Todd Dutiaume has announced changes to his coaching staff for the remainder of the season. After the departure of Matt Siddall in December, Danny Stewart has taken on the mantle of Assistant Coach.

Former Dundee Stars' coach, Dan Ceman has been made club captain, a position previously held by Stewart.

Dutiaume said, 'Danny has stepped into the role after the departure of my previous assistant but has in fact been doing this in an unofficial capacity for the past few weeks. When I spoke to Danny in the summer he indicted that it something he wanted to do and it was my decision to appoint him as assistant coach.'

'Filling the post as Captain will be Dan Ceman who is a highly experienced hockey player, both in this league and overseas. I have surrounded myself with good people and made official the positions they were effectively doing anyway.'

Danny Stewart added, 'Obviously it is a pretty exciting move for me. I have been in the role since Siddall moved on and now it is official I am happy to take it forward.'

'It was tough losing Hamilton and Siddall as players and that, combined with the troubles we had in the first half of the season, meant we had to turn things round quickly. The players have been amazing and stuck with us when it could easily have gone the other way. As a team we are playing much better together and individually and that is showing on the ice.'

New captain Dan Ceman commented, 'It's an honour to be appointed as captain of this great club and we will all be doing everything possible to make the play-offs.'

'We have a strong leadership group with Todd at the top and it was pretty natural the way Danny (Stewart) and I came into it. We have a great set of guys in the locker room and we are all pulling together and that is starting to show in the results.'

Flyers have two games against Belfast Giants and Dundee Stars this weekend.
