Flyers swoop to make double signing
Fife Flyers have added two import signings to their roster with the announcement that forwards Denis Kadic and Frantisek Bakrlik have arrived at the club.
Slovenian, Kadic spent this season playing with HK Maribor where he amassed 10 goals and 26 assists in his 23 games. The 28 years old stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 198 lbs and is a skilfull forward with an eye for goal.
Czech national, Bakrlik was released by Coventry Blaze earlier in the week and Flyers moved swiftly to capture his signature ahead of two other EIHL clubs. Also 28 years of age, Bakrlik is 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 231 lbs. He is a power forward with a strong physical presence.
A delighted coach, Todd Dutiaume said, 'These are two big signings for the club and I am grateful to the coaching staff and directors who worked closely and swiftly to make this happen this week.'
'Denis is a talented forward who will score goals for us and I am excited by the prospect of him playing here in Kirkcaldy. Frantisek is someone I am finally happy to have as we missed out on signing him after he left Hull Stingrays earlier in the season. He is a strong physical guy and the two signings give us more offensive options.'
'These moves shows our commitment to the fans and to the team in our attempt to gain a play-off position.'
Both players will make their debut for Flyers in the Elite League fixture against Cardiff Devils at Fife Ice Arena on Saturday.
