Foster looking to massive derby game

The TDC Waste Management Northern Stars make the short trip across Tyneside on Sunday to face bitter rivals the Whitley Warriors at their Hillheads Road rink.
TDC Stars head coach Stephen Foster believes the derby clash is a huge one for his team as they look to move up the English National League table.
“Sunday is a massive derby game for us” said the former Durham Wasps netminder. “In the previous two games this season they beat us narrowly but I thought we deserved something out of those games. If all of our lads come and play I am very confident of getting something out of the game.
“However, everyone has to turn up and give 100% for the whole game if we’re going to get something. I don’t think Whitley are playing to their full potential at the moment and that’s something I believe we can captalise on. We’re still a young team but we’re growing in maturity all the time. There’s a time we are going to start picking up points and hopefully that will start this Sunday.”
Sunday’s North East derby between the Warriors and the Stars begins at 5.00pm with tickets on sale right up until face-off priced at £7.00 for adults and £5.00 for children.
