Following from the news of the departures of Paddy Ward and Dan Davies Peter Russell, Head Coach of the Slough Jets has to announce the departure of two further players who will not be featuring in the 2011/12 season squad.

Michael Bowman joined the Jets in 2004/05 following spells with Hull, Newcastle, Chelmsford and Peterborough. In his time with the Jets Bowman has won two Play-off Championships and most recently the 2010/11 Premier Cup.

Commenting on Michael Bowman’s departure Peter Russell said; “He has been a great servant to the club and on and off the ice over the past 6 years. Michael is a great team guy and always puts everyone else first. Bowie works his socks off every shirt and has been so unlucky last year with injuries again. Michael, like Paddy [Ward], has done so much work with Spice and the juniors, and has touched many hearts due to his kind heart and efforts. I wish Bowie every success and good luck on his new team.”

In 260 regular season games Michael Bowman posted stats of 83+83 for 166 points and collected 124 penalty minutes.

Slava Koulikov also won’t be returning to the Slough Jets for the new campaign. The 32 year old British qualified Russian born forward joined the Slough Jets mid-season in 2009/10 and was part of the play-off winning squad. He re-signed last summer for a second season and this time was part of the Premier Cup Winning Season.

On Slava’s departure Russell commented; “Over the last two years Slava has put up lots of points on the board and lots of mileage on his car through commuting form Hull each week. He is a great talent, has been a joy to work with, and will be missed around the team. It’s been great to see Slava find his old form in Slough and rebuild his career. We want to wish Slava all the best, thank him for his efforts and every success in the future.

80 regular season appearances saw Slava 81 points (23+58) for 34 penalty minutes.
