Player-coach Sylvain Cloutier has welcomed the return of Ukrainian defenceman Pavel Gomenyuk to the Excel Hull Stingrays line-up ahead of Sunday`s trip to Nottingham Panthers.
The 31-year-old has been ruled out since October 11 with a fractured rib, with his return delayed somewhat by a nerve problem and bruising around the injury.
Cloutier, who will again miss out with a knee injury, said: “It is good to have Pash back. He has played at this level for a number of years and his experience will help us.
“He had a great season last year numbers-wise and he makes that first pass which is a big part of his game. Having played against him before, he is tough to play against so we are happy to have him back.”
