Gosset back for Wightlink
The fourth signing for the Wightlink Raiders for the 2011-2012 season is 24 year old forward Steve Gosset who returns for yet another season in the number 12 shirt.
Steve has turned out for the Raiders for a number of seasons and scored some important goals this season when stepping up from the 4th line.
Cornish is delighted with his latest recruit.
“ I'm thrilled to have Steve back for another year, he's a vital piece to our club and I can't imagine him not around the team. Steve can play all three forward positions and his no nonsense style of play is something I respect and so do his teammates. Steve has shown he can step up to any line on any given night and this season will be his chance to earn more ice time.”
Steve himself is already looking forward to next season,
“I’m really pleased to be back and hope we can build on last season’s achievements. I personally believe we have what it takes to make it another successful season and I’m looking forward to playing a role in making that happen.”
Gosset joins Cornish plus Nathan Taylor and Richard Facey as the first signings with more names to be released early next week.
