Hockeyfest Player Draft Complete
The teams have been drafted for the 2011 Hillheads Hockeyfest, which takes place on Tuesday 8 February at Whitley Bay Ice Rink (7pm start).
Newcastle Vipers and Whitley Warriors will join forces to make two All Star teams for an evening of family fun and excitement, featuring two periods of hockey and a skills competition.
The NHL held their All Star game at the weekend, and they had the Sedin twins on separate teams - for Hockeyfest we've done the same with the Zajac and Thornton Brothers!
Richie Thornon and Peter Zajac will play for the North while younger brothers Andrew Thornton and Sam Zajac will line up for the South.
Tickets are on sale in advance priced at £7 adults and £4 children with all profits being shared between the Vipers and Warriors, giving both clubs a boost at the business end of the season.

SOUTH (Dark shirts): Liam McAllister, Joseph Harley, John Schwarz, Sam Zajac, Ali Brummit, Andy Thornton, Andrew Cook, Danny Stewart, Toms Hartmanis, Dean Holland, Paul Sample, Alex Lawson, DJ Good, Paul Windridge, Shaun Kippin, Ryan Sample, Nathan Ryder, Christian Johnson.
The first and third period will be four-on-four hockey, while the middle session will see the teams take part in a skills competition featuring fastest skater, penalty shootout and stick handling.
Tickets can be purchased from the Vipers office on 0191 4774100 or vipershockey.co.uk/shop in advance, or from the box office at Sunday's "Bash at the Bay" game against Nottingham Panthers.
Presentation packages are also still available, with supporters having the chance to be a bench coach for either team (£100), perform the first puck drop (£25), be a team mascot (£25) or present North & South Man of the Match (£25).
