Home James as Ferrara returns
Phantoms tonight confirmed the return of James Ferrara to their line-up after the highly regarded Peterborough youngster left Elite League Nottingham Panthers earlier in the week. Although James played as a forward in his last season with Phantoms, he has been used as a utility player in Nottingham, seeing ice-time as a D-man which is where he will start for Phantoms. He will sign on an initial short-term deal with a view to a longer term deal being negotiated in the near future. Director of hockey, Jon Kynaston, commented, "it's great to have James back on the team, adding even more strength to a powerful roster that is raring to go at the moment !" Product of the Peterborough junior hockey programme. Made senior Phantoms debut as 16 year old in 2003/2004 season, going on to play 83 games, scoring 11+8 for 19 points. Left Phantoms during 2007/2008 season to go to college in Nottingham, signing for Elite League Nottingham Panthers and playing with panthers until this week. Brother Robert played for Phantoms last season before also leaving for college. Brother Luke also on Phantoms roster this season as an Academy "Prospect" player.
