Hull duo set to return
Excel Hull Stingrays have received a major double boost with Canadian forward Jason Silverthorn and British defenceman James Hutchinson returning to the line-up this weekend.
Silverthorn marked his debut with a goal and an assist before suffering a broken jaw in the 5-4 defeat by Coventry Blaze on October 17, missing the following seven games as a result. Hutchinson, meanwhile, broke his hand the next night against Belfast Giants.
But they will now be back for the home double-header with Nottingham Panthers and Coventry, meaning player-coach Sylvain Cloutier will have a full roster at his disposal for the first time this season.
He said: "We finally have some good news, I am just keeping my fingers crossed we get through the rest of the week! Silver will bring a lot of offence to the team. He was brought here to score goals and he also has speed. Hutch has been our best defensive defenceman this season and we have missed his presence back there.
"It's great to have them both back and it will add some depth to our line-up and we can roll three solid lines. It's going to be a massive weekend for us, we are playing two of the best teams in the league but we want to show we are just as good."
