Lepine complete Panthers line-up
The GMB Nottingham Panthers have added big and mean defenceman Guillaume Lepine to the roster for the upcoming 2010-11 Elite League season.
The six feet four inch tall French-Canadian, from Montreal, has patrolled the blueline for the Elmira Jackals in the East Coast Hockey League for the past two seasons.
GMB Panthers coach Corey Neilson said today : “I’ve spoken to this guy's previous coaches and they rate him as mean on the blueline. He led the East Coast in fights two seasons ago and was second in fights last year.
“He skates well and hits hard and like everyone on the roster this year, he wants to win and he sets his sights on playing solid good ‘D’.”
Lepine takes the vacancy that was created when Brock Wilson revoked his decision to join the Panthers and his arrival completes the line-up for what promises to be an exciting season of ice hockey action which starts in earnest on Saturday September 4th with the visit of the Belfast Giants to the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.
