The Slough Jets are delighted to announce the re-signing of British defenceman Andy Munroe for the 2010/11 season. The 27-year-old joined the Jets midway through last season having originally joined English Premier League rivals the Romford Raiders last summer.

Prior to that, Munroe had spent five season's with the Peterborough Phantoms where he was a member of the all conquering team of 2008/09 which won the league, cup and playoffs.

A delighted Slough head coach Pete Russell was delighted to welcome back another important re-signing: "It's great to have Andy back. He is a solid stay at home defenceman who plays the defensive zone very well. A great penalty killer and someone who puts his body on the line every game.

"Having joined us after Christmas last season, he went on to put in some very good performances and just added a bit more experience at the back which at the time we needed in my view. He keeps his game simple, is positionally good, blocks shots and does the little things well.

"Andy and Paddy [Ward] played well together at the backend of last season and they compliment each other, with making a move halfway through the season to a new team it's always hard and to be honest he is settled in very well, Andy is very experienced and I honestly expect him to raise his game even further this season.

"Having Andy back is a real boost and now adding him to the defensive core we look very solid at the back with Rockman, Krajicek, Greener and Ward already announced".

Competitive season ticket packages are still available priced at £200.00 for adults, £140 for concessions, £100 for under 16's, £480 for a family of four (2 adults & 2 under 16's) or £430 for a family of three (2 adults & 1 under 16). Season tickets can be purchased by calling the Jets office on 01753 821 171 or e-mail General Manager Sylvia Tuleweit on stuleweit@sloughjets.co.uk.
