New players can be a spark for us: Tejchma
Vipers forward Jason Tejchma bagged four goals last weekend, and scooped the player of the week award, but the American sniper says the most satisfying thing was three points out of four for the team.
"The individual stuff is great, but from the team's point of view the important thing was the three points in the weekend.
"We worked hard in both games and got the rewards eventually.
"Coming into this weekend, we play Coventry who are challenging for the title and Cardiff who are just above us in the standings. It's another huge weekend.
"The big plus is the new guys coming in.
"At any time new players are a lift - new guys on the ice but also in the dressing room. They freshen things up, and can be a spark for a team.
"Brent and Ryan can be that spark for us and a big part of our run in down the stretch of the regular season."
Tejchma and the Vipers face off on Saturday night at 6.30pm against Coventry Blaze at Whitley Bay Ice Rink, and tickets are available on the door right up to face off.
