Panthers skate to sixth straight win

Nottingham made it five wins out of five against Dundee in league play so far this season. In addition, they chalked up their sixth straight win in all competitions. As for Dundee, they have now lost their last five games.
The hosts opened the scoring with a strike from Jordan Fox at 3.12. They doubled their lead as David Clarke shot home at 9.39. The visitors pulled one back as Jarrett Konkle netted on the powerplay at 14.49. However, with 25 seconds to go in the first period Matt Francis on a shorthanded play restored the home side’s two-goal advantage.
Despite the Panthers out shooting the Stars two to one in the second period all they had to show for their dominance was a solitary goal from Guillaume Lepine at 31.27 to give themselves a three-goal lead.
Dundee pulled one back as John Dolan netted at 47.07. However, Clarke with his second of the game 52.26 restored the home side’s three-goal advantage as the game headed into its final stages. Clarke then completed his first hat-trick of the season with a powerplay goal at 57.36.
