Phantoms have beaten off a number of their rivals to secure the signature of highly regarded 20 year old forward James Knight.

Despite being a UK passport holder and being born in Chatham, Kent, Knight earned his hockey stripes in some of the best junior hockey leagues in the world following the move by his parents to Canada when he was a youngster. Since then, Knight has seen ice time in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Moose Jaw Warriors and also the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) with the Dauhpin Kings, Winnipeg South Blues and Selkirk Steelers, recording 24+25 in his 70 MJHL games. On his return to the UK, Knight played for Hull Stingrays in the Elite League before joining Telford Tigers last season and Slough Jets at the start of this season.  

Standing at 6ft 3 inches tall, and weighing in at over 205lbs, he will certainly be adding extra size and dimension to the Phantoms forward lines and will be making his debut in Saturday’s home game with Bracknell Bees, face-off 7:00pm.
