Phantoms snap up young prospect
The Peterborough Phantoms Ice Hockey Club have today announced the signing of young D-Man Nathan Pollard for the upcoming season.
Pollard joined the Phantoms last season as one of the clubs ‘Prospect’ players, whilst playing for the Phantoms Under 18 team.
Phantoms Coach, Chris Allen, said “Nathan is young, but has a very good head on his shoulders. He’s been putting in the time at the gym to assure his place on the team, which is music to the coaches ears”
“Practice will help with his development and building his confidence, so when he’s given a chance to play in games he’ll be ready. If he continues to put the work in, on and off the ice, I do expect him to get a good amount of game time minutes over the course of the season”
“I’m very much looking forward to working and playing with Nathan”
The Phantoms will be announcing the 2011-12 Prospect players over this coming weekend.
