Rod Sarich

Despite breaking his foot in Saturdays game against Belfast Rod Sarich has told head coach David Matsos that he still wants to play in this weekends Continental Cup Final in Grenoble.

Matsos said "Rod saw the clubs medical staff on Tuesday and despite them advising him not to risk his foot this weekend Roddy seems dead confident he will play and have injections every day to ease the pain. Rod will then be out of the line up for between 4 and 6 weeks which is a huge blow to us, it seems that Rod playing this weekend wont effect his rehabilitation.

"Rod practised this morning and was in pain but Rod's attitude was that tomorrow we just increase the dosage of the pain killer. I think we can all see what a competitor we have here, he and the other players have battled against all the odds to make the finals of the Continental Cup and everyone of us will do whatever it takes to do ourselves and our club proud whilst away this weekend".
