Sibley hails Whitley atmosphere

Winn Solicitors Newcastle Vipers defenceman Kyle Sibley hailed the Vipers fans following Sunday's game against Sheffield. The American defenceman who recently joined the Vipers confirmed he was impressed with the atmosphere at Hillheads.
"I thought the fans were great against Sheffield" said Sibley. "They really got behind us even when we seemed to be down and out. As the game went on they actually got louder and it certainly was a good atmosphere to play in.
"Overall I've been very impressed with the atmosphere in the rink and I am sure we can make it a very unfriendly place for teams to visit if they fans stay as loud as they were on Sunday".
Having made the move from the Manglerud Stars of the Norwegian GET Ligaen, Sibley believes the Vipers have shown signs they will be a very competitive outfit.
"As a team I know we can compete against teams like Sheffield. We will only get better and we play more games together we will cut down on mistakes that are costing us right now”.
The Vipers welcome the current Elite League playoff champions, the Belfast Giants, to Whitley Bay on Saturday (7.00pm face-off).
