Sibley ready for arrival

Kyle Sibley arrives into the UK today indicating that he is looking forward to the experience of playing for the Winn Solicitors backed Newcastle Vipers. The 26-year-old American defenceman has joined Danny Stewart’s new look Vipers having spent the previous two seasons with the Manglerud Stars in Norway.

“The summer has gone fast and it doesn’t seem long since I signed my contract” confirmed Sibley. “I have spoken quite a bit with Danny over the past two weeks and I am looking forward to arriving in Newcastle, settling in and getting into action against Edinburgh on Saturday.”

“It’s obviously my first season in the Elite League and it’s something that excites me. It will be a great experience for me and I have heard a lot of good things about the organisation and the league.

“Stewy’s [Danny Stewart] has done a great job putting together a solid looking team that I am sure will compete every single night, I can’t wait to get going and start winning some games for the Vipers fans”.

The Vipers welcome the Edinburgh Capitals to Whitley Bay Ice Rink this Saturday (7.00pm face-off). Tickets are now on sale via www.vipershockey.co.uk priced at £10.00 for adults, £7.00 for concessions, £5.00 for under 16’s and £26.00 for a family (2 adults and 2 under 16’s).

Also the Vipers will be looking to strike back during the specially themed Ice Wars event on Sunday 19th September. The Sheffield Steelers visit Whitley Bay Ice Rink (5.30pm face-off) with tickets now available from www.vipershockey.co.uk priced at £12.50 for adults, £9.50 for concessions, £5.50 for under 16’s and £32.00 for a family (2 adults & 2 under 16’s).
