Stars lose Tessier
Dundee CCS Stars are disappointed to announce the loss of experienced defenseman Jason Tessier who was due to arrive in Dundee this weekend.
Jason recently incurred a serious shoulder injury and after consultation with specialists it has been decided that he requires surgery. This is extremely disappointing for the Stars, as well as for Jason, who was very excited to come to Dundee.
Coach Dan Ceman said yesterday: "It's very unfortunate timing for us as well as for Jason personally. Injuries do happen however and it is better in this situation to get the surgery done now instead of having a lingering problem that would affect Jason's play for the season. I wish Jason a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. The search for a replacement started the moment we heard the news and I'll be working night and day to find a player who will fit properly into our line-up."
Director Charlie Ward added, "It was a blow losing Jason this weekend but it's better we find out now than having him fly in only to break down after the first game. I know Dan is close to naming a replacement and when he does we’ll be working hard to try and get him here as soon as we can."
