Steeldogs ready for last game before Xmas
The Sheffield Steeldogs travel to Basingstoke on Saturday to take on the Bison at 6.30pm.
They return to iceSheffield for another big contest against League leaders, Guildford Flames.
The last home double-header v Flames saw some great hockey and a shoot-out on the Saturday for two Cup and League points, but Steeldogs went down in the 2nd game on Sunday.
This Sunday's game is sure to be another physical contest, especially as the Flames' coach, Paul Dixon, has signed Andrew Sharp to give them added toughness and to 'keep the opponents honest'.
Andre Payette is really hoping to take some points this weekend though knows Guildford will be a difficult game and is appealing for fans to come and support the team before the two week break.
This is the last home game before Christmas and the fixtures have not been kind, giving us 5 consecutive home games starting on 30th December. We hope you will be able to join us during the Christmas holiday and into the New Year.
