CPP Coventry Blaze defenceman Jerramie Domish underwent successful knee surgery on Tuesday - with a return scheduled within a month.

The American, 32, was advised an operation was necessary last month having played on with the injury for some time.

Domish has missed the last four matches and Blaze are hopeful he will be back in three to four weeks.

Coach Paul Thompson said: “I talked to him yesterday after the surgery and it went well. The recovery time is three to four weeks.

“We have missed Domer back there, he is a big player for us. He is an experienced import and any team would miss a player of that magnitude.

“But he is in pretty good shape so hopefully the healing time may be quicker. When he is back it will give me more options to move players around.”

Blaze take on Fife Flyers at the Skydome in the Rapid Solicitors Elite League on Saturday February 4 (7pm face-off). Tickets can be purchased by ringing the Box Office on 02476 630693 (option 0) or by booking online at www.coventryblaze.co.uk.
