Swindon Wildcats 3 - 3 Slough Jets

A smoldering crowd hungry for things to come, the ever-noisy ‘barmy army’ yelled the house down for 60 minutes.
The first period completely dominated by the ‘Cats, showing off new shirts and players looked a distance from the team that spent last season just off the bottom (thanks to Romford)…
The jets calmly shook off two penalties (8:06 roughing and then not three minutes later Greener taking his first walk for High sticks).
It took until 16.51 in the first period for the first goal to be hammered home by super Suursoo the ex NHL star for the ‘Cats, only to be silenced by the Jets who scored 30 seconds later. With 38 seconds on the clock in the first, Rockman made 5 great saves from the floor-keeping slough on the level at the conclusion.
The second was dominated by the Jets, seeing them Score twice (The cats gifting ex-cat krycek a goal) then allowing the wildcats to pull one back. Towards the end of the period the cats stepped up the game and in a game where the Jets were looking to rattle the home team it seemed to have worked.
A scuffle at 38.11 involving Bullas and Greener, both exchanged shoulders, as Greener came in late on a check; Bullas who was a little put out at the late challenge let Greener know he wasn't happy, Watt piled in to stop a third man joining in the square off....
Bullar and greener got coincidental pens. Spearing (44) got 2 minutes (roughing)
In the third period the ‘Cats came out looking like they wanted to win, new boy Fisher scoring at 37.22 and 44.09 with help from Stone and Watt respectively.
